Materials

At Dwarves, we carefully select every material that goes into our shoes. Here is an overview of what you can expect from each component.

Upper

We commonly use cowhide, horse leather, calfskin, sheepskin, and deerskin for our shoe uppers. These leathers offer a refined, comfortable feel with rich texture, natural luster, and clear grain. They provide excellent elasticity along with a degree of water resistance and durability, and are well-suited to the demands of handcrafted shoemaking.

Lining & Insole

Our linings and insoles are made from high-quality breathable genuine leather, including pigskin, cowhide, calfskin, sheepskin, and deerskin. The fine pore structure keeps your feet comfortable throughout the day and helps protect them with every step.

Outsole

Our outsoles are designed to be anti-slip and wear-resistant. They are soft yet durable, offering shock absorption, reliable grip, good elasticity, and water resistance — giving you a confident, comfortable feel underfoot.

Shoe Last

Each pair is crafted on a shoe last shaped to the natural contours of the human foot, ensuring a comfortable and supportive fit.
